When I was a child, I used to see adverts for “The Ideal Home” exhibition held annually in London. To me it was quite obvious what that meant, a racetrack in the garden, a very large garage, probably a football (it’s not called soccer!) pitch in the garden.
In later years, I discovered that it was more about furniture, bathrooms and kitchens than about the merits of a long straight following a slow corner.

As this blog doesn’t just cover upcoming events, let’s take a look at one of the most famous restaurants in Switzerland; the Kronenhalle – which translates literally to "Hall of Crowns".
Located close to the lake in Zürich, the restaurant was started back in the mid 1800s and achieved legendary status when famous artists used to congregate there, paying for their dinner or drinks with works of art. This was clearly a smart move on the part of the owner, as paintings by Miro, Klee and Picasso, amongst others, decorate the walls.
