The B5Media network:

Finally Over

So, the EM is finally over, and Spain deserved to win in the final, even if the 1-0 scoreline doesn’t make it look like they dominated the match.

It was probably my transfer of support from Italy to Germany that put the mockers on the boys in white, but frankly, apart from 20 minutes or so, they didn’t look like they had a clue.

I’ve been amazed at how much of a success the EM has been. Personally, I went from having little interest (you may remember that a certain nation didn’t qualify) to wanting to see every match. Well, most of them.

And most of all, it’s been great having the Fanzone and fan-mile, full of bars and food stalls.

Sadly I never got to try the Oklahoma style barbecue, which was aiming for a world record of 600 hours continuous use, with at least 100kg (220lbs) of meat on the go at any time. So how come they wouldn’t serve me at breakfast time yesterday then?

I’ll probably sneak a couple of posts in this week that look back over the whole tournament. But mainly it’s back to travelling in Switzerland again.

Hotels, Restaurants and places of interest.

If there’s anything you’d like to know about, feel free to add a comment and let me know, and then I can take requests into account.
