Ski World Cup – Adelboden

The ski circus is in town, especially if the town you are in is Adelboden.
The giant slalom is apparently one of the most challenging race courses in the world and the slalom event on Sunday also promises to be a great event.
On Friday 4 January various ski teams will give visitors a look behind the scenes as they prepare in the centre of Adelboden for the races..
The first heats of the World Cup downhill ski race start at 10.30am, the second at 1.30pm.
In the Finish Arena, there are bars, food outlets and crazy carnival "Guggenmusik" bands to ensure the festive atmosphere of an Adelboden World Cup.
Over 30,000 people are expected to attend the downhill, but racing continues on the slopes of Chuenisbärgli with the FIS Women’s Slalom on Tuesday + Wednesday, 8-9 January. Start time is 10am and 1pm with the winners’ presentations afterwards.
