I've heard about it through friends and it is supposed to be good, but you have to work out how your father would feel about sleeping in a Jaguar. It's certainly a great location, close to the lake and mountains, and as a secret tip, book him lunch on the first class restaurant of one of the steam boats on the lake - I'll be covering this in a couple of weeks.
